The placement process

A traditional process, done properly

We train, vet and match every candidate ourselves, so you are never taking a chance on who joins your household. The process remains clear and personal from your first enquiry through to the seven-day trial placement.

Tell Us Your Needs

Message us on WhatsApp or submit our contact form with details about the role, required hours and your household’s routine.

We Shortlist Candidates

Our team searches its network of trained South African candidates and sends you two to three profiles matched to your requirements, usually within 48 hours.

Meet & Interview

Interview the shortlisted candidates directly, either in person or by video call. A suggested interview question guide is available from our team when required.

Trial Placement

Begin with a seven-day trial period so that both your family and the selected helper can confirm that the placement is a suitable fit before committing.

Start by telling us what your household needs

Share the role, working hours, household routine and required duties so our team can begin identifying suitable trained candidates.

Our placement standard

Every candidate is trained, checked and personally assessed

Polished Helpers does more than pass candidate details between families and job seekers. Every placement is supported by practical training, documentation checks, personal interviews and ongoing human support.

South African Only

We place South African candidates exclusively, with verified identification and right-to-work documentation for every placement.

In-House Training

Nannies complete our two-day training programme and housekeepers complete our three-day programme before any placement is made.

Police Clearance

Criminal background checks are required for every placement and are refreshed periodically for ongoing household roles.

Reference Checks

Where previous employers are available, we personally contact them to verify the candidate’s experience, reliability and conduct.

In-Person Interview

Every candidate is interviewed by our own team before being added to the shortlist pool. Candidates are not assessed only on paper.

Ongoing Support

After placement, we check in during the trial period and remain available to assist with contracts, questions or replacement arrangements.

A proper placement starts before a candidate enters your home

Tell us about the role you need filled and our team will begin matching your household with trained, checked and personally interviewed candidates.
